Equine Gestalt Coaching is based on coactive coaching which holds the client as an active participant in the coaching process. You are seen as whole and resourceful. You have your own answers but they are outside of your awareness.
Gestalt is a German word which translates to flowing into form and wholeness. Fritz Perls, the founder of gestalt, believed that having an understanding of all the parts of self, all the parts that make up your whole personality, is the true essence of emotional health.
Equines are extremely intuitive, sentient beings. In the wild they must rely on their instincts for survival. Their senses are heightened to a level much deeper than humans. They also sense energy and emotions such as insecurity, anger, pain, sadness, incongruency, or inauthenticity.
Through coactive coaching and gestalt principles you come to understand things that have previously been out of your awareness. Fear and loneliness, traumas and grief, anger and blame can be brought into the present moment, processed, and released, allowing for more freedom, joy, and peace.
